For fans of Lorde, Ashe & Jeremy Zucker

Filled with lots of nostalgia, filled with childhood friends, I love the way it builds!

wild west

Rising alt-pop star Lorana is back with a new project. First single ‘wild west' is due for release on the 15th of September. Lorana showcases her musical evolution with playful lyricism supported by a powerful production. The release of ‘wild west' is the first stepping stone of her third EP, which is scheduled for early 2024. To elevate the powerful message of friendship sacrifice and balance she enlisted the help of her friends Duncan Brookfield (Anne-Marie, Ella Henderson, Carrie Baxter,..) for co-writing and Jules Konieczny (Tom Grennan, Claptone, Everything Everything, JVKE,….) for co-production.
This September she's headed to the States to write with some of her favourite songwriters/producers and promote this first release of her upcoming project to entirely new audiences in NYC and LA. With a growing audience in the UK and Belgium, it's only a matter of time before Lorana's appeal exponentially expands.

My music explained in pretty words:

Lorana’s songs encapsulate a wise innocence that feels both refreshing and intriguing. She makes quirky pop that tells honest and vulnerable stories, inspired by artists like Lorde, Ashe and Jeremy Zucker. After the success of her previous work, Lorana’s coming back with more. The next batch of songs is even more captivating, with a sound that’s constantly evolving and lyrics about friendship and love.
Like a breath of fresh air, Lorana portrays her artistic growth like never before.

Lorana on ‘wild west’

“In a tongue in cheek way, it paints a picture of friends saving each other from pushing themselves too far. The song talks about creative burnout in the metropole, ignited by feeling like no one’s allowed to pause in a city that never sleeps. ‘wild west' is the first single of my newest project.”

Lorana is building a fascinating world around her music. Her debut and sophomore EPs, ‘Here In Between’ and ‘The Edge Of Real’, were met with critical acclaim, and her songs have accumulated over 600,000 streams and 2.5 million views on social media. This led to sold-out headline shows in London and Belgium earlier this year. BBC Introducing London, Studio Brussels, NRJ radio, and Radio 2 Belgium all jumped on board, and she secured Spotify playlists like Fresh Finds: Pop & New Music Friday Belgium. Her meaningful stories were then happily picked up and written about in publications like Atwood Magazine, Knack Focus, and Enfnts Terribles.

Even though her sound continually develops and evolves, her sensational songwriting and alluring vocals still remain firmly at the core of Lorana’s work. Partly due to her frank lyricism, Lorana’s music means to be unceasingly comforting while still proving to be refreshingly innovative.
