Day ten: Ghent

After breakfast at Lotte's we drove from Bruges to Ghent.
This last busk was precious. We've been to Ghent a lot before, but I never busked there. The passengers on the streets we're really positive.

The only minus today was that I wasn't the only one singing in the streets. Every street, every corner or every square that seemed like a good spot to busk, was already taken. It took a lot of time to find a good place, but eventually patience pays off. You can see in the picture below that we succeeded in finding a beautiful spot.

The last ten days were stunning. We had a lot of fun, we discovered beautiful places on planet Earth and we made great memories. Now, we're back home and that feels really good too.

To end this journey I'd like to thank all of you who followed us and everyone that read this blog.
And last but not least, I'd like to thank Arthur for being such a good 'tourmanager', designer, blogger, best friend and most of all for being the love of my life.

Until next time.
Lots of love,
Lorana <3

Day nine: Bruges

Today was really fun. When we arrived in Bruges, Lotte guided us through the city. It's such a beautiful place, truly amazing.

upload.jpeg

I sang at a great spot too. I stood on some stairs, like a tiny improvised podium.

upload.jpeg

There was a lot of noise from horses, bicycles, cars and a church tower, but I sang my way through it. Without amplifier this time, because the government didn't allow that.

On our way back we helped an elderly couple from Hungary by giving them a lift to their 'tourist bus'. That felt really great.

Back at Lotte's home her mom made us delicious Indian food and we watch the movie Allegiant together. Those people are truly heartwarming!

Right now, we're out for a drink at a local pub. We'll write our last blog post of this adventure tomorrow eve, after a final busk in Ghent.

Day eight: Lille

Today was a great day. We drove to Lille early this morning. Our housts are truly amazing. After they showed us around in their apartment and pointed out good busking spots on a map, we went to the centrum of the city.

upload.jpeg

I busked at two different spots today. The people here are really supportive. Once again, I got an audience and a lot of applause. It was a really fun day.

upload.jpeg

There was also a stranger on a bicycle, creating a good vibe and cheering people up with his bell.

upload.jpeg

After all the playing and singing, we went out for dinner and had a delicious pizza.

Now we're back at the Airbnb and it's time for a relaxing movie!

Tomorrow we're going to Bruges. No camping this time either. For our last night of this trip, we're staying with my lovely friend Lotte.

I truly can't wait.

Day six: Grand Site Des Deux Caps

We started our day early this morning and made a long drive to the seaside.

upload.jpeg

We arrived at a beautiful camping, surrounded by nature. If I say we're lucky basterds, that's true. Because, today we got the very last free spot on this camping and it's amazing here.

upload.jpeg

At noon, we decided it was time for a day off. That because the both of us were very tired and because all the shops are closed, since it's Sunday. No shops, no crowd, no audience. 'C'est simple comme bonjour.'

upload.jpeg

We walked to Cap Blanc Nez to find a place that's really magical. The rocks on this shoreline are breathtaking. There runs water out of the white stonewall and the wall is overgrown by cute little green plants. I also found some beautiful stones for original necklesses! It was high tide and that resulted in a stunning all-over view.

upload.jpeg

Shortly thereafter we drove to Cap Gris Nez to find a grey stonewall and even more nature.

upload.jpeg

When we got back at our camping, I decided it was time to write some lyrics.

upload.jpeg

Now our belly's are rumbling, so that means it's time for dinner!

upload.jpeg

Tomorrow I will busk in Calais.

Lots of love,
Lorana

Day four: Saint Quentin

We started our day with a walk in the breathtaking forest.

upload.jpeg

After a long drive we made a stop in Saint Quentin. The people there seemed a bit confused, as if they never saw someone busk before. That was really funny.

upload.jpeg

After a chill afternoon and a safe drive to Piquigny we arrived at our camping.

upload.jpeg

Tomorrow, I'll be busking in a bigger city nearby, called Amiens. We're already looking forward to it.

Have a good night!

Day two: Bohan / Laforêt

What a beautiful day. Such hot weather! The view over here is wonderful. 360 degrees full of trees.

upload.jpeg

The people in this little village are very nice.

upload.jpeg

The waitress of a bar gave us some cold water and it felt like the people really enjoyed my performance.

Can't wait until tomorrow!
Lots of love,
Lorana

Day one: La Roche-en-Ardenne

We started our journey today. La Roche is truly heaven on earth.

upload.jpeg

The couple who runs our camping (camping de l'ourthe) was very sweet. They let me play on the camping in the afternoon and we got a free spot, free drinks and free ice cream in return! Absolutely adorable.

upload.jpeg

In the evening we headed to the centrum of the village. I played there again and we finished our day with delicious pizza.

Enjoy Bluen's quick sketch. We'll update tomorrow after my next busk in Bohan.
